Hey Yukon Musicians!

Music Yukon is excited to announce a short notice project with some stellar partners in Edmonton, Alberta. CKUA Radio, Alberta Music, and the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival have joined us to create exciting opportunities for up to six Yukon musicians/bands. Air North, Yukon’s Airline has generously come on board to help make this opportunity a reality!

Click here for the application form!

You’ll need a google account, so please email Beth at beth@musicyukon.com if that’s an issue.

You are eligible if you:
  • Are a Yukon resident and a Music Yukon member (psst – you can become a member here!);
  • Have released original music (single or album), ideally within the last two years;
  • Want to showcase on a mobile outdoor stage with up to 10,000+ onsite patrons every hour;
  • Have a high-energy 45-minute set of primarily original music;
  • Want to meet and learn from experienced music industry folks based in Alberta;
  • Are interested in radio and podcast coverage, including interviews and radio play on CKUA Radio (475,000+ monthly listeners); and
  • Are available between August 18 & 22, 2024 and able to make a trip from Whitehorse, Yukon to Edmonton, Alberta.

DEADLINE IS TUESDAY JULY 23, 2024 by NOON (so very soon!)

Artists will be selected by a small jury of representatives from our partner organizations. This is a professional development opportunity and does not provide a performance fee. Number of artists selected will be relevant to available funding. Please keep this in mind with ensemble size.

Selected Yukon Artists will receive:

  • Support in connecting with the local music industry in Alberta;
