Perform at the 2025 Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival…and MORE!

Hey Yukon Musicians!

Music Yukon is excited to announce another short notice opportunity with our friends in Edmonton, Alberta! CKUA Radio and the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival have joined us to create exciting opportunities for up to six Yukon musicians/bands.

You’ll need a google account, so please email Beth at beth@musicyukon.com if that’s an issue.

You are eligible if you: 
  • Are a Yukon resident and a Music Yukon member (psst – you can become a member here!);
  • Have released original music (single or album), ideally within the last two years;
  • Have a history of successful live performances;
  • Are export ready with a professional quality online presence;
  • Are dedicated to building your career in the music industry;
  • Want to showcase on a mobile outdoor stage with up to 10,000+ onsite patrons every hour;
  • Have a high-energy 45-minute set of original music appropriate for a crowd of all ages;
  • Want to meet and learn from experienced music industry folks based in Alberta;
  • Are interested in radio and podcast coverage, including interviews and radio play on CKUA Radio (475,000+ monthly listeners); and
  • Are available between August 14 & 21, 2025 to make a two to three day trip from Whitehorse, Yukon to Edmonton, Alberta.

DEADLINE IS SUNDAY JULY 27, 2025 by NOON (so very soon!)

Artists will be selected by a small jury of representatives from our partner organizations. This is a professional development opportunity and does not guarantee a performance fee. Number of artists selected will be relevant to available funding. Please keep this in mind with ensemble size.

Selected Yukon Artists will receive: 
  • One performance 45 minute performance slot on the outdoor mobile stage in ATB Park at the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival, with full professional technical support and small backline;
  • Support in connecting with the local music industry in Alberta;
  • Radio play, interviews, and editorial coverage on CKUA, Alberta’s voice for music, arts, and culture;
  • Round trip mileage from Yukon communities outside of Whitehorse, if applicable;
  • Round trip flights from Whitehorse to Edmonton on Air North, Yukon’s Airline;
  • Round trip ground transportation from Edmonton International Airport;
  • Shared accommodations in Edmonton (one hotel room with two queen beds per act);
  • Event marketing support from Music Yukon and partner organizations; and
  • Per diem for each travelling artist.
