MUSIC SOCIETIES & ORGANIZATIONS
YWIM is a volunteer run organization that meets regularly to organize concerts, workshops and fund raising events, as well as to provide networking opportunities for women in Whitehorse and Yukon communities. Resources include concerts, workshops, song writing, performance & mentorship.
Jazz Yukon is a non-profit society incorporated in the Yukon Territory and is registered as a charitable organization. The society promotes and presents jazz in the Yukon through an annual integrated program of live jazz presentations and jazz education outreach.

Whitehorse Concerts is a non-profit organization dedicated to presenting high calibre musical entertainment for both children and adults. Our organization is run by an enthusiastic group of volunteer board members. Other volunteers help as ushers, cloakroom attendants, caterers and hosts for our after-concert receptions.
Yukon Bluegrass Music Society is run by a dedicated volunteer board. We put on bluegrass shows and events throughout the year, but most importantly, every June we host a top-notch festival.
This page is our attempt of bringing a little bit of digital media presence to the one and only Folk Society of Whitehorse. The season runs from October to April and we will post each month with who the feature performer is.
The Yukon Film Society is a media art centre based on the traditional territories of the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council and the Kwanlin Dün First Nation in Whitehorse. YFS supports media art creation with equipment and artistic development; presents cinema, exhibitions, festivals and performances; and distributes Yukon film and media art in partnership with KIAC through the streaming service: Available Light on Demand.
Screen Production Yukon Association supports, develops and celebrates Yukon’s screen media industry. We advocate on behalf of our members and provide a broad range of professional development opportunities for producers and all above and below-the-line crew members.
The Klondike Institute of Art and Culture (KIAC) is an active centre of cultural, social, and artistic energy located in Dawson City, Yukon, Canada. KIAC presents an ambitious schedule of courses, presentations, festivals, and exhibitions that follow programming priorities determined by a volunteer Board of Directors in consultation with KIAC staff.
Junction Arts and Music aims to work in partnerships to coordinate high-quality events and present a broad range of artists, creating opportunities for community members to support and enjoy year-round entertainment, thereby continuing to foster an appreciation of the arts.
