Neither Katie Avery nor Graeme Poile have ever taken a course in pyrotechnics or human kinetics. That hasn’t stopped them from performing explosive, heart-stirring and soul shaking celtic, traditional fiddle and original tunes at a wide range of Whitehorse venues. Katie is a Whitehorse violin instructor who has performed with The Problematic Orchestra, Kate Weeks, the Whitehorse String Ensemble and many more. Graeme Poile has performed with fiddlers such as Troy McGillivray and Alex Lamoureux and Whitehorse bands The Moanin’ Mountain Boys and others. Both musicians have performed at the Kluane Mountain Bluegrass Festival and other Yukon festivals. Description of Performance: Both Katie and Graeme are seasoned performers with a confident and welcoming stage presence. They are well versed in communicating energy and liveliness through their music; predominantly their music is suited to dancing and thus invokes an enthusiastic and energetic response!
