JUNO, WCMA, and National Jazz Awards-nominated jazz vocalist and ukulele player Karin Plato’s “confident, tuneful phrasing and hip articulation stands out as she weaves a musical spell” (Edmonton Journal) working with her quintet featuring some of Vancouver’s most sensitive and expressive players. A recording artist with several CDs, Karin has appeared in major jazz festivals in Canada and performed in clubs and for concert societies and Jazz societies across Canada, including Vancouver, Edmonton, Regina, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Kingston, Ottawa and Montreal along with smaller communities, and the United States. Vocal/ukulele, clarinet, piano, bass and drums.
