Songwriter Panel Featuring:
Dave Haddock: A Yukoner since 1979, Dave’s back from BC to stay this time. Dave’s going to be playing and singing until the last days, no matter what he pretends.
Aiden Tentrees: Aiden Tentrees is a multi instrumentalist self-proclaimed songwriter/goofball who has been playing in Whitehorse bands and writing about the north since the age of 13. He has performed musically in 19 countries to date, and is currently enjoying luxurious success in his band Soda Pony.
BJ Mclean: BJ MacLean moved north 35 years ago and never looked back. The people and places of the north won her heart, and are often reflected in her music. She has lived in Alaska, the NWT, northern BC, and has been in the Yukon since 2002.
Calla: Calla Kinglit is a musician and songwriter, inspired by the awe of wilderness and the human experience. She released her debut album, Dreamer’s Sea in 2018. The album, on rotation on CBC North and stations across Canada, is a collection of songs written while working as a researcher in the Congo Forest Basin in Cameroon, and exploring the vast and redemptive beauty of the Yukon. The lyrics place the navigation of spiritual and human relationships in the context of these wild places; leading to a richly textured and metaphoric lyrical and musical palette.
