Michel Gignac is a multi-disciplinary artist primarily interested in interactive sculptures and gallery installations. His work is often exploring concepts of consumerism, surrealist absurdity and ownership.
Since graduating with Distinction from the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at the Alberta College of Art and Design, he has exhibited nationally and internationally. When he is not making his own art, he is often developing art workshops for youth and adults. His most recent installation was exhibited in Dawson City, Yukon, for (S)hiver Arts Festival. He also just finished his first collaborative mural in Whitehorse’s new co-working space, NorthLight Innovation and is now in the process of completing another for the Yukon College and Cold Climate Innovation.
