Music Yukon members and other Canadian songwriters are invited to enter the second annual Canadian Songwriting Competition. The competition will launch on October 1, 2017, with discounted early bird pricing (early bird pricing ends October 31). This year’s competition will be bigger and better, with a new cash prize of $10,000, and over $40,000 in prizes to be won! The United Way Breakfast and Auction is approaching! Come hungry on September 29th, 2017 from 6:30am – 9:30am (that’s right, set that coffee-maker timer for EARLY) at the Coast High Country Convention Centre in Whitehorse. Last year’s breakfast has allowed the United Way to support Yukon based non-profits and organizations with over $100,000 in funding. As part of the drive for auction bidding, donations and overall syrup consumption during the event, we are hoping to have a few performers play for 30 min sets.
