Inspired by her new Yukon world since she left Quebec, Sophie Villeneuve shares her life story with authenticity in her show Le Chant du Hibou. From dog sledding to skiing on avalanche terrain, to talking about her northern romances or living in a wall tent in the winter, she does not miss a chance to let her audience travel with her. Characterized by her direct lyrics, Sophie switches back and forth between guitar and piano to share her songs that are mainly in French with a few titles in English. Addressing her audience as if they were around a campfire, Sophie Villeneuve offers an authentic experience in a world North of the 60th parallel.
Coming back from a tour in Quebec after releasing her new record Le Chant du Hibou, Sophie Villeneuve is excited to present her new show in the Yukon @ Hamilton & Son on Thursday March 15th, 19h30. Accompanied by her musician Marc Tannahill, her performance will also feature original footage of her dog mushing adventure in the Yukon last winter – one of the main inspirations for her new album.
