HOW DO YOU MAKE A LIVING IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY? Get an insider’s view in this workshop led by Whitehorse-born, Grammy-winning producer Stephen Kozmeniuk. Stephen will talk about his experience in shifting from a career as a performing artist to one of songwriter and producer. From leveraging rights and royalties to building a music project, he will help demystify the modern music industry and share useful information for performers, songwriters, producers, and other music professionals.

Koz is a Grammy-winning Canadian producer, songwriter & multi-instrumentalist, based in Toronto, His production credits and writing collaborations are notably broad, ranging from co-writing and co-producing “The Blacker The Berry” (one of the highlighted singles off Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy winning album “To Pimp A Butterfly”) to Madonna, Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown, to producing much of breakthrough artist DUA LIPA’s forthcoming album, as well as producing & co writing Alt singer songwriter BANNERS forthcoming album for Island Records.
Koz’s aptitude for developing artists has also had him working with a host of exciting new talent in the last year which saw great online viral success with OVO signed DVSN of which he co-produced and co-wrote 2 lead singles, a U.S pop charting single with Hollywood Records artist Shawn Hook and global chart success with Dua Lipa, he is also currently working with Liam Payne for his solo album, Rachel Platten and a host of breakthrough talent for 2017. Kos’s versatile talent and ability to work across a range of genres makes him one of the most exciting and engaging writer-producers out there.
